More and more families are welcoming a canine companion into their homes. In fact, in 2025 there were almost three million more dogs in Spain than children under 14.
To put it in numbers: more than 9.4 million dogs compared to about 6.6 million children.
With these numbers, it's logical to think that more and more people are deciding to embark on new adventures with all members of the family. Four-legged ones included, of course.
The problem is that not everything progresses at the same pace.
Although pet-friendly establishments are becoming more common, they are still insufficient to meet the actual demand. If you have a dog and have ever tried to go out for a drink with him, or planned a trip, you've surely encountered more than one "no pets allowed" sign.
And the Camino de Santiago, unfortunately, is no exception.
But let's not get dramatic. That's what we're here for: to make organizing and life easier for you (at least for the duration of your Camino).
How do we do it?
